My name is Paula Newman and I am a videographer and editor, seeing projects though from planning, filming and editing to final production. I previously spent eight years working in the New Media department at The McGraw-Hill Companies.
While I was at McGraw-Hill, I built up the video department and studio in the London office, taking care of broadcasts and the running of the studio as well as filming, interviewing and editing videos for a wide spectrum of departments within McGraw-Hill, to promote their products and services.
I utilised the knowledge I had gained—particularly in the area of video and broadcast—when I studied Journalism at the University of Lincoln, for which I hold a BA (Hons) 2.1 grade certificate.
I use high-quality Sony products, mainly shooting on the Sony Z1 video camera, which I was trained on at the BBC.
During my time working at McGraw-Hill I worked with a number of baby-care experts including Elizabeth Pantley and Dr. Karyn Purvis to create videos in order to promote their books and educational messages.
I have since worked with Dr. Lin Day, founder of Baby Sensory and Toddler Sense and Jenifer Scheuber, a Puddle Ducks swimming instructor for young children and babies.
I have also had the pleasure of producing a number of wedding videos, creating a lasting memory of a couple’s wedding day. It is an honour to create such a very personal memory of a wedding day which is unique to the happy couple! Something that they can watch back and relive their special day.
I aim to capture all of those precious moments that make a wedding day what it is in a way that is personal to the couple. Most couples are reassured that a female videographer is available!
In fact, I can work with you to capture on video any life event which you think you would like to remember, a child's birthday, a Christening or any celebratory event. No job is too small!
